Speakers included Salem City Councilor Vanessa Nordyke; Keizer Mayor Cathy Clark, Chairperson of the Mid-Willamette Valley Homeless Alliance; Stephanie Bobb, Resource Development Manager of the United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley; and Kristin Retherford, Salem Director of Urban Development Department. The presentations included discussion of efforts to increase affordable housing, which is difficult for a variety of reasons, as well as efforts to provide needed services to people who are homeless.
